Middle Viscosity Silicone Oils SANTECHNOL PDMS V50 - V1000

Dimethyl silicone oil, i.e. polydimethylsiloxane, is colorless, odorless, non-toxic oily liquid.It is also non-volatile, with good chemical stability, excellent heat resistance, electrical insulation,weather resistance, hydrophobicity, physiologically inertia, small surface tension and a lowviscosity-temperature coeffi cient, and can be used during -50~180ºC for long term.

It is widely used in building materials, electronics, transportation, petrochemical, textile fi nishing,medicine and health care, aviation scientifi c research and military technology. It is alsocan be used as additives in plastics processing in order to improve release ability of plastic andwear resistance, also as additives in paint and polish.

Applications:

SANTECHNOL PDMS V50 - V1000 are used as:

Thermostatic fluids (-50℃ to +200℃),

Anti-blotting products for photocopying machines,

Thinning and plastifying agents for RTV’s and silicone sealants,

Raw material for Antifoam

Lubricating and heat protecting agents for textile threads ( synthetic sewing threads),

Ingredients in maintenance products (polishes, wax polishes, floor and furniture polishes, etc.),

Paint additives (anti-cratering, anti-floating/flooding and anti-scratching effects, etc.),

Water repellent treatment:

-of powders (for paints and plastics),

-of fibers: glass fibers,

Release agents (mould release of plastics and metal castings),

Lubricants (lubrication of elastomers or plastics on metal),

Surfactants for styrene-butadiene foam.

HCR application to reduce hardness

Properties:

Very good resistance to high and low temperature,

Good combustion resistance,

Low surface tension,

High compressibility,

Absence of ageing upon exposure to atmospheric agents,

Good oxidation resistance,

Little change in viscosity with temperature,

Good resistance to high and prolonged shear stress.

Packaging:

SANTECHNOL PDMS V50-V1000 are available in 25 and 200 kg drums, in 1000kg IBC drum.

Storage and shelf life:

When stored in its original unopened packaging at a temperature of between -20 and +50 ℃,   stored for up to 12 month from its date of manufacture (expiry date). Comply with the storage instructions and expiry date marked on the packaging.
